Max P. Tafferty found out how to easily reconnect a wireless Bluetooth headset to your Windows 8 computer:
- turn on your bluetooth device
- right click the volume icon in the taskbar
- select “playback devices”
- right click your disconnected device in this list
- click “connect”
- (optional) if your computer doesn’t immediately switch from speakers to headphones, select them and hit the “set default” button at the bottom of the playback devices window.
Ever since Apple came out with Mountain Lion, support for Microsoft’s RDP protocol to remotely administer Microsoft Windows desktops and servers has been flaky or just not working. Oddly enough, people were more succesful using the reverse-engineered CoRD client. But this reverse-engineered solution had trouble with newer Windows versions, just because RDP is a bag of hurt.

This claims to be version 2.1.2 of the Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection Client for Mac. Try it out and see if it fixes your issues.

In a testing environment, a client had no issue in setting up a connection to a supported LDAP environment through User Profile Synchronization. In an identical copy of this environment, however, the client kept running into an error message displaying “Unable to process Create message”. This error is accompanied with an Event Log entry with the most important part “Retrieve schema failed”:
